Someone give me a hand here I dont want to have ta write in to PC Format

Im using a Matrox MArvel G400 - tv on a high spec machine, and one of the main reasons I bought it was so I could preview home made movies and watch DVD's.
Everything works fine except for the fact that I cant get any sound coming out of the TV, it only comes from the speakers.
Whats the point of having 'audio out' if the audio DOESN'T go out?

I had this exact same problem. I resolved it by bypassing the BOB's "Audio Out" jacks. I got an adapter cable which allowed me to plug the audio cables from my tv/vcr directly into the soundcard rather than into the Marvel BOB.... works for me..

I think I know what you mean. What sort of adapter did you use? ( I'm already using a composite scart adaptor)

I am not sure what it is called.. but it has one male end which goes into the sound card "out" jack and 2 female ends which take the a/v plugs from the tv/vcr cable "in".

Ah this is where the problem becomes nore clear. I have a fairly new tv with just a scart conector on the back so i had to go out and get a special lead like it recomends in the manual...

Whatch out for the SCART adapters. Use an original SCART to 6 pole adapter.
It works fine, without any bypass for my BOB to TV via the VCR.
I've seen two destroied VCR-TV tuners by an Asus V3800 connected to the TV via VCR-composite. (Maybe not faulty connected, but two independent machines...?)
It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings...

              metalslug,

in order to have sound out to my tv when watching a dvd, i found that i have to open the pc vcr remote first and then open the dvd player.
