Conexant 878A chip vs 878

i'm sorry to ask again, but no one seems to have answered this really. I have heard a few people say that the 878A chip on TV tuners is much better than the older 878 chip, which I am using in my WinTV card. Can someone please tell me the differences in quality. What benefits would I see if I bought a newer WinTV wtih the 878A chip? Thanks
