that, and many people have stated that AVI_IO is well worth it's licence costs.

$25 is definitely a more than fair price for the best avi capture SW available. Marcus is a great guy and will give you support that no other SW company would ever manage to provide. Don't steal from this person. He is a great guy.
$25?? Jeez, give me a break.
By the way I am being nice since you are a relatively new member. Just wait to see some of the responses from the more outspoken members. Warez is a definite no-no here.Last edited by Sciascia; 26 March 2002, 14:52.WinXP Pro SP2 ABIT IC7 Intel P4 3.0E 1024M Corsair PC3200 DCDDR ATI AIW x800XT 2 Samsung SV1204H 120G HDs AudioTrak Prodigy 7.1 3Com NIC Cendyne DVR-105 DVD burner LG DVD/CD-RW burner Fortron FSP-300-60ATV PSU Cooled by Zalman Altec Lansing MX-5021

ahhh, very well then, thanks for the tip. you see, the reason I try not to pay is simply because most software out there is a pile of poop and I like to try before I buy. I tried the trial version of avi_io last night and it captured 3 files then stopped, the first file was good, the other two where black screened or something odd. anyway, thats why I asked but if you guys insist its worth 25$ then I am going to take your word on that and buy it. but if I am not happy with it, I will expect a refund and I am going to frown upon you guys for it. also, its just amazing matrox could not get its video capture software right. I mean, thats really so cheeseball of them. this damn marvel g400tv cost me nearly 300$ when I first bought it which is a retard price for a piece of equipment that cannot capture video correctly. I guess that will be the last time I buy matrox video capture for full price at least.
thanks again for the input on this.

questioning the functioning of the software is a bit lame excuse for asking a warez version of it, since most of the people here could easily provide you information on the usability of this program with the Marvel or RRG on various operating systems. Even the search function does wonders for you...
Edit: if you're not happy with it, then it's due to your incompetence of using the program, as it works very well for all other users here. You should have tested it with the 3 capture possibilities you were granted with the shareware version (and, imho, since you stated that wasn't enough for you, this in itself proves that you won't be happy with it, ever, for the reason I just indicated).Last edited by dZeus; 27 March 2002, 09:40.

gosh, I should have know better than to ask for help on this.
Brian Ellis, its not too cool for you to say a word about it unless you are going to give a positive recommendation about avi_io. like I said, I have been burned in the past plenty of times, in fact, more times than I can count, from buying software (and hardware in this case) that DID NOT do what it was suppose to do and in this case, and to top it off you have to deal with resizing and all this due to the propriatary 704x480 capture.
there was an interview on the "TECH" channel on satilite. the guy interviewed was a prodigal genius/computer scientist and he basically layed out the facts regarding computers today: "COMPUTERS TODAY DO NOT WORK THEY WAY THEY SHOULD OR ARE ADVERTISED TO WORK" and he basically ripped "modern science" and "modern computers" to the core. I agree with this scientist completely.
I mean, the fact matrox could not get its capture software correct to begin with is a prime example of this and more and more it pushes me into taking the leap of faith and start using linux instead which has no file limits and the drivers I understand for the matrox cards works superb and is all FREE let me stress and add.
no Brian Ellis, the people who do not know how to design things correctly to begin with make me sick or even worse, ppl who know how to design things correctly but dont because they want to "maximize their profits" really make me sick...(like bill gates and his bunk software he spoofed anyway) and the ppl who steal real designs and cripple and put their name on it and call it "intel pentium" (I am talking about the DEC case against intel for stealing 10 of their patents to make pentium in which intel settled out of court and payed back royalties to DEC for all peniums sold)
it is no mistake I speculate, intel pentium is the most successful line of processors in history. risc has always been superior, not cisc.
heh, it should actually be called "inhell pentagram processor, 666mhz"

anyway, thanks for all the help everyone.Last edited by Hpar_; 26 March 2002, 17:09.

not at all but I thought I might ask about it and at least see what anyone says before I throw down the cash. it says its going to take at least 48hours before they email it. now that sucks. so I have to wait 2 days min on top of it.
seriously though, ppl who provide a solution, a real solution to a problem that should not be there to begin with need to get paid so, I will buy it.
thanks.
oh, btw, dZeus, if you dont see where I am comming from about bill gates and intel and the rest of the scam industry/industries, I dont know what to tell you buddy. on a different note to illustrate the point from a different person, I recommend you read this site and get a clue about what kind of ppl we are dealing with in this life and I urge you not to be a part of it.
this question goes to everyone who reads this thread:
"are you part of the problem, or part of the solution?"
are you sure you are not clueless?

I have also been disgusted at buying software only to find out later that it doesn't work as advertised. That was usually with boxed software that I couldn't try first.
That being said I think avi_io's policy is pretty good. Try the demo version, if you don't like it then don't buy it.
I tried the demo, it worked well for me so I bought it. End of story.- Mark

So you want to compare this special interest utility that this guy almost gives away to Microsoft and Intel.....jeez you were even given a free trial.....do you get that from Microsoft or Intel.
I don't believe you are smart enough to get involved in video editing. Maybe you should reconsider your interest in this area.

No you didn't. You asked for a cracked version straight away, without asking or doing a search beforehand. All were doing is attacking the pitiful excuses you're making up, but you know just as well that you're wrong, so why don't you just agree and stop making a fool of yourself?Originally posted by Hpar_

btw. 2 days waiting does _NOT_ validate the use of warez by any means... bwahahaha
Which problem are you referring to? To what degree is it relevant to your quest for a warezed version in stead of asking people if it's worth the expenses and shelling out the small amount of money on this software? Don't tell me that 'someone' ripped you off because of 'some' unadvertised problem which would validate you ripping off someone else!seriously though, ppl who provide a solution, a real solution to a problem that should not be there to begin with need to get paid so, I will buy it.

What exactly is your problem? Are you surprised that Marketing is often a 'dirty business' ? Or that soft/hardware isn't 100% bugfree? Please, get a clueLast edited by dZeus; 27 March 2002, 09:44.

gosh. hehe. look man, I am sorry I asked now but let me fire something back at you again. have you ever heard the saying "everyone is lieing."?? heh, guess what, not everyone is lieing, but many or most are. I am skeptical about buying anything especially when the trial version, the version that should work the best to turn potential customers like myself onto a product or "solution", DOES NOT WORK CORRECT! I just did another capture. the trial version is not working on this rig, correctly but you say, if I pay for it, he will give me tech support, so that is another thing to concider. you know, I am going to email him and tell him about the problem I am having. if he can fix it, then I will be impressed and of course I will pay for it!
actually, the trial version and the registered version should work the same.
ted, I dont know what to tell you, I am just a novice learning about this stuff.
hulk, what you say makes the most sense to me and so I will email the guy.
thanks for posting.Last edited by Hpar_; 26 March 2002, 19:18.
