Nope, but if it has the Highpoint chipset on it'll likely be slower than the Fasttraks. That chipset is slower than Promises in the tests I've seen. Also the Highpoint products I've used were rather lame.

It isn't particularly slower than the FastTrak 100, but has a much higher CPU utilisation. Highpoint controllers are also known to have compatability issues with some hard disks, although the HPT370 is a lot better than the old HPT366 was.
The Hot Rod is well priced - £40, versus £116 for the FastTrak here in the UK.
