Info on MPEG2 vs DV

Does anyone know of a good site that will give me information on the advantages and disadvantages of MPEG2 (@25MB/s) vs DV?

Can I assume by that combo you're using an RT-2000 or similar device?

If so then the advantages of going MPEG-2 for a whole project mainly fall into doing rendered key effects. Everything else works better in DV.
