Mandrake 10 and virtual PC

I have just installed Mandrake 10 under MS Virtual PC but cant seem to configure the Xfree server. Whenever I run startx, the screen goes blank and then returns to the prompt with the following message
fatal server error.
No screens found
I have a GF4 4200 card. Does any one have Mandrake running under Virtual PC

I had jus looked at one of my Win2k instances and it also shows a trio card.

http://www.vmware.com we even got a free copy of VPC on our work (msdn subscription), but I still prefer to work with our copy of VMWare.
