    Full system has been ordered, around the Asus P6T6 WS Revolution.
    (in the end, I figures 6 PCIe slots is the best option)

      I did wonder if you were still planning on going that route. Now that the AMD Phenom II CPUs and mobos are around they are good performers at a much lower price.

        I just bought a Phenom II 920 system. Though mine is not a high end gamer rig, just a good all around server/gamer system. From what I've read the Phenom II and Core 2 have very similar performance numbers, depennding on the application/game, but the Phenom II's are still cheaper though.

          FatTone: Well, as you said, we all have our favourites. I did hold out for a more powerful videocard, as I see some changes in the ranges I'm interested in in the next couple of months.

            Jammrock, could you list your specs of your new PC, mine is getting really long in the tooth ... i will have to finally upgrade this year
