Crucial memory deal

Crucial's currently got a special on for it's 256mb stick of PC133 Cas2 memory. Regular price is $118 plus free shipping but if you start from the following link www.crucial.com/webpromo it gives you an additional 5% off and the final cost is $112. Too good an offer to pass up, so I ordered it and guess I'll pass one of my 128mb sticks to my dad's computer.

Mushkin's prices have been taking a dive lately too. Their 128MB Mosel Vitelic CAS2 is $89, I just paid $178 a few weeks ago

Aw shoot! My balance on my credit card is to low at the moment cause someone billed me twice for something. Grrr.... Now I have to get it cleared before I can order anything, and goodness knows how many days it will take the credit company to actually clear the charge after I call them.

Oh well, I probably shouldn't be spending anymore money right now anyway.

Thank you very much for the tip. I am 512 MB richer now! That puts me at 1.5GHz of RAM but I will get rid of my two non-7e sticks pretty soons.

I am stacking up RAM in my basement in case of a nuclear war :-)

lowest price on pricewatch for pc133 256 meg micron/crucial memory i have seen is $88 + $9 shipping.....

local store here in the twin cities www.tranmicro.com has had pc133 256meg micron memory for $99 for a few monthes and is now $89 now. add in the instant gratifcation factor i just picked some up there for me instead of ordering it elsewhere (back when it was still $99).

$89 for 256MB of any kind of working RAM is a good price. But at $112, you don't get just any memory, you get real 7E. That means cas222, 5-7T :-)

These RAM prices are bordering on ridiculous! So... I had to go and order myself two of the 256 MB sticks of the -7E CAS 2 stuff last week and I got them on Friday. I love cheap computer part prices!

CompUSA had a deal this last weekend (18th and 19th of Feb.), where you bought 2 sticks of 64MB-PC133SDRAM for $30 each, and with rebates that comes to a total of ((29.95 * 2)*1.06)=63.49 - $60.00 = $3.49 for 128MB of PC133SDRAM.

Not bad for my 2 small Linux boxes which currently sit at 128MB PC133SDRAM. This brings them both up to 192MB of PC133SDRAM for very little mulah.
