Common Chuck, you're old enough to remember the "Dave" skit. Mrs. H on the other hand is probably just distraught over her missing hubby.

Or perhaps "Mrs. H" is just Jorden cross-dressing in another of his/her transvestite fantasies about Dave...

LOL! I go away for a few hours and look what I find, another trashed thread Thanks for letting me out of that box Greebe, it was getting cold and dark in there. As far as ICQ goes, I gave up on it because i formatted the HDD and forgot to save the address book. If I were to reinstall, I'd have to ask everyone for there ICQ numbers AGAIN for the 10th time now!
As for the original topic, I started getting into Home Theater lately and man, is it expensive, worse than computers! I ordered this badass remote yesterday, looking forward to it coming in. It's the Philips Pronto TSU2000. This is the king of remotes. It is simply amazing. basically, you can control anything that is IR. You can also control all of your X-10 crap if you ahve an RF to IR converter. Wanted to know if anyone has used this remote of heard of it? Here is the link to a review of it. It is awesome!

You've never seen Seinfeld! Off with his head! hehe just kidding. As far as the oxymoron part, not when you order the remote I bought I get to get rid of 6 remotes now for one

No Chuck, the "Dave" sketch is classic Cheech and Chong.
I got me one of them fancy remotes. Unfortunately the Pronto couldn't control my Fosgate Surround Processor, which always had a very weak IR eye. It took me forever to even get it to learn the codes (had to use all the tricks) but it still couldn't control more than a few functions. I'm hoping to get it back up when I finally pick up a DD/THX decoder. My 13 year old HT system is still pretty much analog, the gating issue has really been waiting for the right HDTV RPTV.
P.S. Andy (ahartman) also has a Pronto and we talked about these about a year ago on this forum.<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

Not too many of you guys ever heard or remember that Cheech and Chong skit....LOL
I got the Sony RM-AV2000 a couple years ago. Not nearly as many Bells n Whistles but a lot cheaper than the Pronto. Still handles all my new equipment though.

Thanks Mike now we need to come up with another test for Dan.
And I've only seen him referred to as Cheech Marin, but his real name is Richard.
