  • What PDA?

I am thinking of buying a little PDA. I have seen them store databases on medical conditions and drug regeimes both of which would be very useful when trotting about the hospital.
    • I need something that is around ~£250
    • I would prefer to be able to customise it as much as possible as some of them seem very strict about the writing style you must use.
    • I would prefer that it is backlit.
    • it must be integrated with Outlook
    • Can you ever have enough memory?

I have found loads and loads of models out there. Can anyone help me to find a goodie?

    Cheers in advance!

After speaking to SteveC and Jammrock, I am strongly considering the Comapq iPAQ 36xx series.... what do you think?

If you do go for a pocketpc, here's a good few links to get you going:

www.brighthand.com - loads of info plus a great discussion forum
      www.pocketgamer.org - games!!!
      www.ludipocket.co.uk - general news
      www.pocketmatrix.com - Quake!
      www.pocketpcpassion.com - general news
      www.pocketpcthoughts.com - more news
      http://entanet.pda.tucows.com/pocketsoft.html - more software
      www.jimmysoftware.com - High quality games
      www.pocketpc.com - Microsoft's PocketPC site
      http://web.tampabay.rr.com/pocketgb/ - Gameboy & NES & PCEngine etc emulator

One word of warning for the iPAQ - it only recognises one button at a time - so running and shooting becomes quite difficult. The programmers usually put in a way round this by giving an onscreen input - the ipaq will recognise a screen input and a button at the same time.

      Hope this helps someone!

I went into Argos to look at the 36xx.
The screen is very nice but it cost £455!!!!
I have found the 32MB version on the net for £315!
Now where did I put that student loan
