Matrox DVD Player Problems

I have a G400 32Mb Dualhead

The card's perfomance is amazing, but I can't play movies with the included DVD Player. The picture is corrupted and the sound keeps pausing and is distorted. PowerDVD however works fine so the problem is not from the DVD drive (Creative 5X). I have already tried upgrading the BIOS and drivers, but the problem continued.

Any suggestions?

Check to make sure DMA is enabled for the DVD drive. Enable if not.

Look for IRQ conflicts. The G400 sgould be on an IRQ of its own, IRQ9 or higher.
