  • Help: G200 NT Drivers since nt4_431 make NT hang/crash after logon

    nt4_422.exe and older drivers work perfectly.
    what was changed in the newer one's?
    there is no blue screen but seconds after you see the desktop the systems hangs and forces me to shutdown the computer...you just see a distorted image on the screen

    I use a Compaq Deskpro EP 6350; 128 MB RAM
    Matrox Millennium G200 8 MB SD-RAM (latest bios);
    NT4 SP6a

    Hi

    Did you add a dial up program such as PCAnywhere since the 4.22... these would cause such problems... Also check that ou card is not sharing an IRQ and that PNP OS is set to no.... I haven't heard of much issues with these drivers, so I am a bit puzzled why you are getting this.

      I have just re-ghosted 35 PIII 450's with G200 SDRAMS and NT4 SP6a and PD 4.34. I am seeing the exact same problems on a LOT on the machines!

      Sudden freezes, no Dr. Watson, nothing. The only thing I can do is to power the machine down. Just like you I was rock steady on PD 4.22.

      Matrox HELP!!! I still have 75 more G200 based machines that I was going to re-ghost this weekend.

        Follow up on my previous post. SP6a is NOT the problem. I have tested this by taking a previous ghost image that had SP5 and PD 4.22 still on it and applying it to a test machine. Uninstalled 4.22, then installed the PD 4.34 drivers.

        Boom NT freezes, when moving a scroll bar. Happend three tries in a row.
