What's the fill rate for the G400 MAX? The G550?

Why G550 have more Mtex than the MAX? MAX is faster than G550!

Frank you're correct, the G550 does boast alot higher fillrate due to it's dual pipleline (hints of what could have been as the G800)

So is G400 faster only because 550 is "limited" with 64bit DDR bus?
With a 128bit bus (even with normal SDRAM memories) G550 should be faster than G400MAX!

my OCed G550 pushes more polygons/sec than my MAXed G400 Vanilla, the major letdown of the G550 is it's 64bit bus and hence it's heavily struggling when trying to transfer textures.

It's really a bummer they went with a 64-Bit bus, it would have been a much more reasonable card if they had stayed with a 128-Bit bus AND still coupled it with DDR, the second TMU really boosts it's effeciency...

if it is the bandwidth that limits the g550, then shouldn´t the g550 beat the g400max in 16bit and lowres, if the fillrate is higher?

You'd think so, but that 64bit interface probably has to deliver the stuff for it to fill

If you were to use really crap textures, then I guess it'd win, but as soon as you start pushing large textures around the MAXs bandwidth should win out.
