Im surprised they were allowed to benchmark a "beta"-board.

but these benchmarks looks promising to me, *IF* the final boards are somewhat faster of course, and I bet they will be.

BTW what is the performance-drop with both fsaa and anisotropic filtering enabled on other gpus, compared to the 28% on the parhelia?
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

Not really sure, they didnt run any settings like that on the Geforce4 they reviewed,
Shuttle SN45G, 2 x 256 Megs of Geil Golden Dragon PC3200 DDR Ram, 120 Gig Western Digital SE HD, 16x48x Liteon DVD-CDR Combo Drive, 128 Meg Retail Parhelia, nForce Soundstorm, Klipsch Promedia GMX

Actually here ya go, this should be what you were looking for, remember the maximum pc demo they benchmark with for Quake 3 stresses the system a ton more than the standard Quake III Benchmarks most reviewers use, these benchmarks are just good for the % of performance drop with the settings you mentioned: http://www.3dgpu.com/reviews/xtasy4600_4.php

so the gf4ti performance is pratically cut in half, with 8tap-aniso + 4fsaa.
that makes the parhelia look pretty good in comparison.

              there could be 2 reasons:
              1. crappy beta drivers
              2. quake3 not 16xfaa compatible

While I do not know you Dr Mordrid, I am deeply concerned about your emotional state.
Based on the advice of my imaginary psychiatrist, I recommend that you violate your NDA, and spill the beans.
I'm sure Matrox would understand. No NDA is worth your mental health.

when they said they ain't gonna get 250 fps in quake 3 i didn't expect 72 hehe im jk. Those results are not bad for an alpha/beta board, should be alot better for the final board

Man why haven't no websites posted Parhelia reviews, been waiting for soooooooooo long now, they said early-mid june it is june 12th ffs (which in my mind is early-mid june )
