today I upgraded my aging voodoo1 with a shiny new G400 max and besides the improved graphics performance I found a strange bug: if you go in the domination map at the top floor and look up the 'spikes' out of the
walls deform weirdly.
I'm talking about the small dark brown/black pyramids that are at the top of the big white pillars, there's about two on each side. If I'm close, they're just fine, if I walk backwards they sort of squish in various shapes, sort of like the sides of the pyramid didn't remain 'square' but started warping around.
At first I thought this was a zbuffer problem, but changing the zbuffer
from 16 to 32 bit doesn't make a difference. This is, of course, with DirectX 7.0 and the Matrox 5.25 drivers on Windows 95.
The strange thing is that if I'm close these pyramids look ok, it's just if I walk far away from them that they flicker.
Anybody else saw something similar ?
