Infiltration is not enabled on our server, it's just installed in case 1 day we decide to play it.

You can disable downloads from within your system once you open up UT.

Opening UT? All I have is a flashing screen when I start UT...
Back to reinstalling UT and reinstalling all mods etc.

.....Speaking of great UT Models, check out Abbey Chase, which you can get from:

        http://hellhound.stomped.com/index.p...nt/mow.content

This is quite a piece of work. I'm really impressed by the author here. Check out the bouncing hair and "anatomy". Best 3rd party model for UT I've seen.....what do you think?

Disregard what I said. It seems that a user can't disable downloads.

Not that it matters, Haig... I can't change my profile without crashing UT either

I'll go for a complete uninstall and reinstall, missing out on the game then... oh well...

            I'm washout anyway

Why has the lag gotten no better on the server? I don't mean to be overly critical, but, WOW it has really sucked lately. I'm not saying that I could do any better because I just have a cable modem but it use to be flawless. Low pings, and 0 packet loss. Lately though I can barely get through a level without turning a corner only to skip back and find that I have run off of a cliff. Is there an alternate server that we can ust untill the problem is resolved? I have been finding myself searching the boards for a better place to play, even though I hate the people in the public servers. I do appreciate the work that has gone into giving us a place to play where we can get away from the buttheads that frequent most of the other servers. But, I think that attendance has fallen since the lag situation reared its ugly head.

Ran across this link concerning the "green skin problem" we've been observing:

                http://board.unreality.dk/ubb/Forum6/HTML/001261.html

I don't run a UT server...I hope this makes sense to someone and helps.

for preventing downloads enter the adv. preferences (type 'preferences' into the console or map that word as raw keybinding to 'P' ... ), goto Networking > TCP/IP Network Play and set AllowDownloads to False ...

In case there's something running on the server that's not available locally on your machine you'll simply get logged out ...

                  Cheers,

                  AllowDownloads=False

Just installed the above files that I got from the MURC clan page and now when I try to go into UT on the NGI server I get "Connection Failed - Package 'TCowMeshSkins' version mismatch"

Joel, I think your problem is related to the ReadReBonusPack.txt file. Read it, and see that the two extra files that were included (tcowmeshskins.int and .utx) are only to be loaded if you have problems with the original Cow Mesh. I bet you answered "yes" to the overwrite? question and are now using these files which are apparently a different version.

I fortunately did NOT overwrite, and only added the new .int and .utx files (tcowmeshskinsOZUnreal1). No problems with connecting to the MGI server.

You may be able to fix this by reloading the BonusPack or I can email my original files to you.

One thing I did notice on these new tie-dyed cow skins (which I really like) is that they appear fine in "Practice Session" ( I killed myself to check), but on the MGI server it still appears as the standard brown skin (or is that fur?).

I don't remember it saying anything about overwritting but if you could send them to me that would be great.

                          Thanks

I just sent them. Don't know how long my email system will take to deliver them - it's been slow lately.

Please turn server downloads back on. I have tried everything I can think of to solve the TCowMeshSkins version mismatch problem but nothing has worked yet. When I delete them I still can't get on due to server downloads being disable. If someone doesn't want to wait on a download then they should make sure they have things ahead of time.

I was getting the same thing so I decided to overwrite the 2 TCowMesh files with the ones in the zip and now it works fine. Haig did you add that extra line in the Unrealtournament.ini for the Rumiko mod? When I try to use the Rumiko skin on the server it loads the WarCow instead.
