Erm, I'm just too embarrassed to post my times I've only just got the game and am spending alot of time in the shrubbery.
Seriously impressed the way the windows shatter and explode out when I hit a tree though heh heh. Bump mapping on, and car details on max.
Takes some getting used to after Toca 2 the driving is quite different.
    Still drooling over the graphics.

    Dave.

Yeah, this is one of my favorite games... Dont have any stage times right now because im not at home and cant check them, but i would imagine that they are MUCH slower than those..

This game rules when playing+drinking with friends, maybe thats why i dont get the best stage times but i'm pretty sure that i have more FUN than you guys. =)

Only had the game something like a week and played it 3-4 times now but going to try to beat those times sometime in the next couple of weeks. =)

Dont know why my Logitech FF wheel feels different in W2k than in W98SE but because i have some problems with 98 after my intel->amd upgrade now playing in w2k. Anyone ?

Well guess i have to go home and start to work on these france/italy stages..

      Pete.

Ps. Anyone played this game with a video projector ? I HIGHLY recomend it. =)

          Heh,

dont know how you guys do those kind of times, i TRIED the first 2 stages in france ( cant even play italy yet =) and well i only could do 2.42.xx and 2.47.xx (abt01's times were 2.19.48 and 2.36.45), but i guess i have to make some adjustments to the car and stay on the road. =) In the first stage i had wrong gear ratio and that was the first time i used something else than shortest..

... with those stages i tried manual transmission because i wanted to see how much it will effect. Usually i lost ~2-3 seconds to the last top time in the first try and won about 3-4s in the second try. Didnt run them more than twice because it will get booooring after couple runs. Now im trying to win that easiest championship so i could try italy out. =)

          Pete

Ps. in some stages im in the forrest more than greanpeace. =)

PeTE - yeah, at the beginning I examined the bushes and trees very closely too. Every crash or slip out costs at least 3 - 5 seconds, so you will be really surprised about your time, when you can do it to the finish line without them.

But even then, there is plenty of room for further improvements. A few weeks ago I changed my "style" of driving a little bit (I was braking too late and drifting too much ) and got an improvement of 7 to 15 seconds per stage !!
But I am not sure if you can beat the times from abt1 without a steering-wheel and manual gearshifting.

If anyone is interested: I did a Word document with the perfect Ford Focus settings for Finland, Sweden, Australia, France, Italy and Great Britain. Just post a message here, if you want me to send it to you.

P.S.: Finally got the RAM I ordered from Crucial and my new system is ready now.

              HI MK!

I use Focus with Keyboard and manual speed.
I've try to use my well (Trustmaster) but it,s more difficult to get a good times score.

And you? What a type of configuration do you use?

Would you want to do a network game with me?

              I hope so

              Ciao, ABT01

abt01 - I`m using Ford Focus along with keyboard steering and automatic gearshifting. Problem is I have no hand free to change the gears manually as I steer with the one hand and use the other for the handbrake which I use quite often (or have to ).

I would like to do an online game with you, but my studies keep me away from games at the moment. But if you like I can send you an email at the beginning of April. I hope I will have time then ...
