  • Anyone gotten HalfLife to run in Windows XP?

Tried two different XP computers, one with a G200, one with a G400. Tried the stock drivers and the latest ones.

Both refuse to run HalfLife in OGL mode.
    Has anyone had any success?

Is there some hack that's needed to make HL/OGL work in XP?

    Does D3D work?

And what specific driver version? Try 5.3x

      Yes, D3D works.

Tried 5.33 and they didn't work in OGL mode.
The exact error msg is here, at the bottom.

So...why do you want to use OGL? Stick with D3D

Because Half-Life is an OGL game.
D3D is unplayable in multiplayer -- too choppy.

Am going to try the new certified drivers next..

Kickass -- The new certifieds work great in XP -- in full OGL glory. Thanks Matrox!
