Here is a link to 2 reviews(scanned reviews). There may be some minor spoilers, you've been warned.
BTW, the first review doesn't really give anything away. It just go's on and on about how amazing the game is, how there really isn't any disappointment. They only complain of some minor things.
The second review is in another language(german probably) but it does show some never before seen places before, hence the possible spoilers.

Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.
I know a lot of you are going to be downloading Half-Life 2 and Counter Strike via Steam, so I figured people would want to make a backup of their cache files. Anyways, here's something I made over the past couple of days. Enjoy. DVD Case Insert Low quality: http://img.photobucket.com/alb...

The retail package will be $59.99 CAD +15% tax = $68.98.
The silver steam package converted to CAD funds at 1.258 exchange rate is $75.42.
Even assuming there is no tax on steam purchases, the retail box would still be cheaper. I also assume the retail package will be equivalent to the silver steam package (do I assume correctly?), but the retail package is still more than a month away.
What to do, what to do. I suppose getting CS:S a month earlier is worth $6.44, isn't it...

I haven't seen any evidence that HL:S will come with the standard retail package.
I have been playing CS:S Beta and I can honestly say that I am addicted again. Although the last few days I have been growing tired of playing the onand only map, dust. I think playing CS:S early is definitely a nice hold over before HL2.
I have an order in for the collectors edition with the DVD, but I started thinking that I don't really need the DVD as I could burn it to DVD myself. Now, with the cool cover and label that guy made, it is a no brainer.
Now, I was going to get the Silver package because of HL:S, but I started thining about it. I just finished HL1 a few weeks ago and I can't imagine that I would want to play it again. I'm thinking I'll just get the Bronze at this point.

I haven't played HL1 in years, so it might be nice to give it another go in the new engine. I think I also would enjoy DOD:S, so silver it is.
Now I just have to find the IP of the colour laser printer on the other side of the floor at work so I can stealthily print out those covers.
