How do you game?

Personally I'm still a hardcore PC gamer.

Thanx to my new rig, I can play almost any game in stereoscopic 3D, although most of the modern games are using all sorts of post shaders that are incompatible with 3D, so that I either have to turn off some of that eye candy or simply play them in 2D only.

Talking about 3D, my LG monitor came with a 3rd party 3D driver from TriDef, but that one had rather lackluster performance and its compatibility wasn't too impressive either.
So I hunted for an option to use the native nVidia driver instead.
After some digging, I found modified drivers that can disguise my LG as Acer or Zalman display that both are natively supported and since then I'm 3D Vision ready.



Just last week, I bought Test Drive Unlimited 2 as "Green Pepper" re-release for only 6.99€ and you can barely imagine the immersion and fun it is to ride Ibiza in 3D ...

Also, after all those years I was suffering from horrible internet connections, I'm now hooked up with VDSL 35/5 Mbit/s and thus I'm now officially a LPB.

I played COD2 for a while - found a clan with their own take on a realism mod, then slowly the COD2 scene died and I accidentally installed WoW (free trial with drivers).

Played that too much for a bit, now play very rarely - mostly to chat to the guild and mess around, and even rarer is a blast at Minecraft.

Phone gaming for passing travel / toilet / insomnia time.

Board games rarely, but I do like a game of cards with my parents!

I actually bought a bunch of games for travelling Australia - have hardly touched them. Maybe once I'm back home I'll end up playing a bit again

Ever since they canned Fighter Ace I hardly game anymore. Yeah, chess of course and the occasional Radiant Defense on my Playbook. Maybe in about 10 years I'll have a bit more time...

recently, I reactivated my Half-Life2 installation and added the Synergy mod for playing the whole campaign in coop mode ... any takers ?
