    @Sitflyer:

    Looks like I might be switching the server over. I was reading up on the project first and they do not want you to join if you cannot garuntee finishing an entire unit. I cannot.

      Encouraged by our rise from 77th to 75th.....

      I think, I'll totally commit, my home machines, to this project. I really like how it doesn't hog my internet connection

              Woo, I'm #5.

              Just a quick question, what kind of machines are you crunching on? It would be nice to know which ones I'll be able to overtake =)
              I'm crunching on system #1 below.

                My computer isn't dedicated to running it and isn't set to load at startup so I'd kinda expect to get a significantly slower score. That plus my systems innate slowness...

                Celeron Tualatin 1.2 GHz at 1.44 GHz on an Asus TUSL2-C (i815EP)
                512 megs of PC133 running at 120 MHz FSB, CAS2
                40 gig Western Digital WD400BB 7200 rpm UDMA/100 HD, 10 gig Maxtor 91024U4 7200 rpm UDMA/66 HD

                  I've got a Duron 1200/256megs and an XP2000+/512megs both crunching for about 65% of the time (too noisy to sleep with them on - I like COMPLETE silence ).

                            Is there a linux client for it? My C3 800 may not be the fastes machine but it is basically doing nothing 24/7 and this seems like a worthy project unline SETI etc.
                            no matrox, no matroxusers.

                              Should we try another membership drive, like the (failed) one for DF?

                                Yeah, why not bsd... although with this one we would have to make it ultra-clear that you need to be prepared to commit for a whole model cycle (~4 weeks)...

                                And thop: soon (TM) apparently
