You mean how much do you waste, right? We are the world's largest exporter, and admittedly we waste a lot here, but it's not soley an American problem. We produce more goods than any other country and we polute less than that share. What this tells me is that there are other countries out there that need attention too because they are polluting more than they are producing, you see my point?
Producing stuff isn't a good thing by itself. It depends what stuff is produced and cinnamon roles simply don't qualify. No sir.
And, btw, the US has a negative import-export ratio. The US are still importing more cinnamon roles... do they never get enough? Nooo. And then, innocent MURCers are forced to shoot them down, producing even more waste. This vicious circle...
BTW, pollution or not. The USA are not alone in the world, as much as some of my fellow citizens (yes, yes, i am a citizen of the USA too) would like this to be true. Discarding old agreements like this is immature and irresponsible, reminiscient of children.

We have a president who won't sign a treaty until some more research is done on the subject. He didn't say no way no how, maybe he was trying to buy time because the economy here was sucking, but anytime you have researchers divided roughly 50/50 on a subject I think we should do some more extensive studies before we shut down the economy of some countries and put working folks out on their butt because of a treaty that was signed.
I don't think the US is the only one out there, and that's part of my point. We aren't alone in the world and we need to get an agreement that everyone can own up to otherwise we are just wasting time and money.
Here's an interesting precedent from Czech history, which illustrates how effectively they deal with political problems there. Let's defenestrate our "friend" and see what an "impact" he makes!
Perhaps we should choose higher windows than they did in 1618, though.. in order to maximize the "impact" of course!

Look, I did not write the letter. An american woman did. Let's generalize and say it's not my fault americans can't spell moronic.
KvHagedorn, thank god you haven't found the stories detailing what happened to the people who take part in the riots during that last year's summit taking place in Prague. No no, we're not Swedes, we don't shoot people with live ammo just for fun, but there are other methods. *evil grin*
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.
