        Mikko:
Don't know about Finland, but in some countries (e.g. Belgium) it is forbidden to send money through the mail.

          Ant,

Need a PO box to send money. You have the email already.
Nothing sadder than seeing a beautiful theory getting slammed by an ugly fact!

I don't know, security of the postmen ?
              Lack of proper insurance ?
              False competition ?

I think because it would be too much of a bait for the postman

And of course it's an insurance problem, like VJ mentioned. I think it's not even allowed to put money in a parcel (rather than in a mail envelope, which I could understand).

THis of course doesn't mean we can't send Ant money through SnailMail, but there is no guarantee he will receive it - in fact, postmen seem to have a sixth sense for money in envelopes and even parcels. A friend of mine once got a parcel from his mother, whith all sorts of stuff and 20,- DM in it - yet when he received it, everything was there, only the money wasn't.

there are possibilites to prevent "seeing" or "feeling" the money: a card, some layers of paper or aluminium foil..

how about about money orders only payable to ANT, or duly appointed representative
I would be happy to send some of our Australian plastic money discretly poked between a greeting card and/or postcard.

How about we sort out a postal address soon, and then see what arrives

                    • Wulfman, they managed to steal it out of a closed parcel! (And they had the nerve to close the parcel and deliver it after that!)

                            ..or forgetful?

nevertheless, I think the cash-variant is an option.

                            • So Ant how it is going to be? It seems the most people are not willing to pay by paypal so direct transfer and/or mail seems to be the only option! However I think you should arrange things as quick as possible!

Oh and btw a "special" members forum would be nice (one were we would insult all the non paying members etc. )!
