Jesus Liz, glad you're OK. So this was in San Jose? The reason I ask is that we have been getting bit by tons of spiders lately. As a matter of fact, my wife has a bite on her eye lid this morning. I also have this nasty bite on my leg that is finally going away but it got all puffy and infected.

There are quite many spiders where I live as well, but they're not dangerous (although there are "Kreuzspinnen" under them, but their teeth can't go through the human skin except maybe for very small babies) and those for sure have much more fear of you than you might have of them. They never would come and try to bite a human.
So I simply put them in a bucket and carry them out of the house if I spot them.

Hearing what happenedto you, I'm glad that the most dangerous animals where I live seem to be big dogs...

You don't have any health insurance that would take ove some of the cost at least? Then I'd try to get something from the Hotels insurance for sure as well.

Anyways, as already said: glad, you're in good health again.
There was an advertisement from a health insurance here some time ago with an oh so true statement: "Health is not everything, but everything is nothing without good health.."
