        • I simply guessed at Brunei because the Sultan spends the interest of his investments on the people, according to Islamic law. One of the things he did was to build a gigantic amusement park with all the latest rides, totally free of charge to anyone who cares to go along. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerudong_Park I visited it about 1998. Very impressive.

As your palm trees look tatty, how about the UK? Alton Towers or Thorpe?

          • It is Spain. But where? There aren't too many of these things in the world. This one is allegedly 100m tall.

            • Is it the Moncloa tower in Madrid?

                • It is the Innfinito viewing tower in the Terra Mitica park, Benidorm. Phew!

Homepage has a cool Flash animation: http://www.terramiticapark.com/

                  • Yep. I've been up it by day and by night. A great park too.

                      • I'd say that's St Joseph's church in Le Havre, with Le Volcan in front of it. The bridge is a footbridge spanning the Basin de Commerce.

I knew those school trips would come in handy one day!

                          • OK, try this. It's from a slightly unusal angle, as I reckon the traditional view would be way too easy.

You are after the central building.

                              • Correct. Below is the more traditional view. If you have ever seen the BBC TV program Spooks, they use that as the front entrance for the MI5 hq.
