Shorty is a running joke I have with her, I'm sure she'll answer when she comes back online.

atm she's dealing with ~50mph winds gusting to a bit more with horizontal rain.

The eye wall is ~60miles in diameter which because of the extreme size will prevent the storm from intensifying before hitting the coast (in about 1-2 hours from now).

I'm on the opposite coast with the lastest storm track taking the eye just north of us (Tampa).

All Schools in the area were closed and readied as shelters yesterday for those fleeing the east coast. Two weeks ago the east coast was our hosts when Charlie came through

Latest news reports Francis is stationary now... not good. Juno Beach reporting winds a tad over 80mph (128kmh) with gusts >100mph (160kmh) with it still to make landfall (eye)

Storm strength hasn't changed still a catagory 2 with sustained winds of 105mph (168kmh)

Now where it goes is anyones guess, lets just hope it doesn't get stronger.

Over here on the otherside we had our first squal line race through, nothting to write home about tho

ps I'm just 5miles north of Sarasota on the south edge of Tampa Bay... Liz be just south of Ft. Lauderdale where it's making a mess of everything

Hang in there, girl. I hope you are not in too low-lying an area. I'm glad that, as bad as those winds are, they aren't as bad as they could have been. Hold on!

I'm kinda glad I moved out of Florida all those years ago now. Still have a good friend in Tampa and my sister lives in Orlando, so I'm a good bit worried about where and how hard Frances ends up hitting.

Hope everyone down there stays safe.
