Grow-op Bust nextdoor

So, I don't know much of the details yet, but there was a Grow-op bust (weed) at my neighbors as of about 2 hours ago!!

I'll give an update tomorrow.

What a world; you never really do know who your neighbors are.

It's funny though, my family, nor my other neighbors, really seem all that concerned

my neighbor gives me free milk

and dont take that in a dirty way (even though youre gonna now!) as she works for a milk company...

but i hope everything gets sorted out... its good its getting cleaned up... you dont want something like that happening around ya... its a magnet for trouble makers...

I was more excited about my house being on TV (which it was for all of 2 seconds) than the drug bust.

note: we DO live in Canada, weed is almost* legal

Alright so to the best of my knowledge, here's what happened:

There was a small stove chimney fire at my nextdoor neighbors house. One of the other neighbors noticed this and thought that maybe the house was on fire. They called 911 and the fire department came. They found the house was alright, nothing to be concerned about; the fire didn't damage anything. BUT, as with any possible fire, they had to do a walkthrough of the house. The firemen found the grow-op, called the police. The police came, took my neighbor away, and then returned later with a search warrant and took all the equipment.

As to how much and of what exactly was taken I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it was just weed.

Not sure how it is in Manitoba but in Quebec, they posted an article in the Journal de Montréal and it showed how proliferant it is becoming. They say that kids can make 25$ an hour picking buds from weed plants (under the table obviously) than get a real job. No kidding, at 25$ an hour I want in too!!! Which makes mer think of what one my work colleagues told me. He said that if you have to hire kids to pick your buds for you then you have a HELLA lot of weed, and by hella I mean ginormous amounts!!! (a hundred plants or more)

Well, my neighbor is out on bail right now... knowing our legal system it'll be a year before he gets sentenced
