You could make a negative mold out of plaster of paris, and use silver instead of gold. It would be less expensive and the faccepalte need a little work afterwards but it would look decent and it's not hard to do.

Silver tarnishes.. I think I would stick with the gold one .. that is if I really really did not have anything else to spend my cash on
