The issue with Logan is... mood. Let's take an example. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I turned off the blood and gore, so everything is just sand dummies. Fine. But the MINUTE that the evil shadow-monster shows up, and the music gets quiet and creepy, and everything goes sepia-toned? He FLIPPED OUT. I mean, I didn't think he was really watching the game, even! And he LOST IT. Completely. Started crying and had to leave the room because he was so scared. We went to see "The Last Mimzy", and there wasn't a single scary or violent or inappropriate moment in the entire film! And yet, at one point, because the TONE of the film was "suspenseful", he grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go because he was too keyed up by it.
It's just the kind of kid Logan is. But for MOST kids? No explosions, no violence. Please. Our parents didn't let us see that crap until we were much older. And the one or two kids in school whose parents DID let them watch it? It wasn't until high school that we realized that those kids were kinda ****ed up, y'know?
