Pal N output???!!!

I live in Argentina, SAmerica. Here we use Pal N but our tv and videotapes supports ntsc too. Anyway I would like to know why Matrox Marvel g200 supports Pal N video in (video and tv) but when I try to output the captured PalN image it appears in b&w so it isnt PalN. I suppose it is because it support just Pal for Europe.
Does anybody has any clue=?
