Decoding Channels with RR-S?

I run into a site with a few programs (freetv,moretv,xtv) that are supposed to decode encoded channels, i tried the freetv program and i starts fine but when trying to decode the channels it hangs with an error message. Does anyone know if this is possible? Specially with the rr-s.
