For what it's worth here is a work around I figured.
I couldnt print to vcr from MSP or PC-VCR, thanks to those who made suggestions, but I still couldn't make it work.
I took a vcr tape and recorded some of it to a file via PC-VCR, opened that file in PC-VCR and played it with the vcr set to record. Bingo everything works as it should. Checked the specs of that recorded file and there was the answer. It was rendered at 352 x 288 size. Opened MSP and changed an avi file to that size and recorded it to vcr. It worked fine.
Had to be something simple for a simple bloke. Thanks for your interest. Hope this info helps someone else.
