RT2000 capture DV problem. (missing frames)

When I capture DV onto my IBM 7200rpm drives hooked up to my Fasttrack 66, the playback from the timeline seems accelerated by 1.5-2x. I don't have a seperate drive for the OS but the Matrox disk test gives me a green light. DV plays back faster than it should. Why is this happening? Am I dropping frames during capture, it should tell me since I selected to report dropped frames. thanks
