Hello, I am not sure of this problem so here is what I do.
I record an avi file using Virtual dub with no problems and by using picvideos mjpeg plug-in I can record large size > 4gb avi files which Play back perfectly (Matrox G450eTV) and on microsofts media player.
I can Import the above file into Premier and it also plays back perfectly on the source monitor.
I then do a simple edit like top and tail the video and export it to movie. recompress is unchecked and premiere is set to use the Pic Video codec as and when needed.
The file renders without error. but when it comes to playing the avi file it will start and work for a minute or so the windows media player comes with the error "insufficiant resourses to process this file".
The strange bit is that If I open the newly rendered by premiere avi file in Virtual Dub and then Save it without doing anything, The newly saved virtual dub copy of the file Plays back perfectly.
It seems that virtual dub is doing sonething different to premiere when saving. any Ideas on how to make premiere work because at the moment I have to render the edit in premiere the re render in Virtual dub to make it play back without error.
