  • XP + AVI IO + NTFS = > 4 gig files?

Using XP is looking really attractive right now as my average system uptime when capping is about a whopping 3 hours in win98se. I would like to be able to eliminate AVIsynth from my chain of encoding at the same time (killing two birds with one stone) by capturing to one large file via the NTFS file system (currently AVI IO Huffy capture-> multiple 4 gig AVI's which I put together using AVIsynth's SegmentedAVIsource() -> TMPG) . Here's my question: using NTFS, is there a way to capture > 4 gig AVI files using AVI IO in YUV format sw compressing as Huffy? The only info on the AVI IO webpage is "NOTE! The maximum of the fully enabled version is 4GB". I would really like to keep using AVI IO as I typically make SVCD's and the custom frame size option is invaluable.

    Thanks in advance.
