Hello,
There is an excellent multimedia software package out there called ShowShifter (http://www.showshifter.com). It allows one to setup a PC as a PVR (any codec), DVD player, MP3 player, and TV viewer. All of this is controllable with a remote control.
I would like to setup a similar system, but use Linux (requirements, must use Linux). Unfortunately, ShowShifter works under Windows only.
Has anyone heard of such software that runs in Linux?
