A friend of mine bought a machine with a V3500TV in it..he was planning on doing a bit of amateur video editing and maybe playing some games on his TV. To make a long story short...the 3dfx solution is a joke. I have never seen such a poorly designed and implemented card and software package in my life. The TV out flat out sucks for watching DVDs. Add to that a complete inability to drive the TV and monitor at the same time at 800x600.
He decided to trade up to a Marvel. We just got it installed and working last night. What a night-and-day difference. The software works great, the TV out is awesome, and it is sooooo easy to use.
Now if we could just get the software that came with his cd burner to work...damn Adaptec...
