Hi everyone.
I experienced this problem with Premiere's monitor window in trim mode (5 windows per side). When I open the window in single or dual mode, it works fine. If I switch to trim mode, the program quits.
This happens when editing DV files encoded with the MAINCONCEPT 2.04 codec. Is this happening to anyone else?
I found an empirical way to solve the thing: switching the pixel depth from 32 to 24 bits before launching Premiere allows calling the trim mode window, which opens fine (but the colours are bad, bad - why? Can anyone explain?). If then I switch back to 32 bits (without restarting Premiere), with the trim window opened, the visualization is ok and I can work in 32 bits mode, close projects, open other projects. I have to make this procedure every time I launch Premiere to edit, so I wondered if anyone could provide a definitive solution.
My system is
mb Asus P3b-f
Intel Pentium III 450mhz
384mb SGRAM pc100
Ati Dv Wonder for DV capture
Matrox g450 dual head 16mb sgram
Powerdesk 5.72.021
Win XP Pro
Premiere 6.0
I only edit DV and switch b/w the Microsoft codec (for capture) and Mainconcept DV codec 2.04 (for editing).
Thank u!
