Best setting for PAL DVD
Just what are the best capture and rendereing settings to create a pal DVD. I find most confusion over the interlace/deinterlace options? Also, in the pic video codec it has an option for two fields over 240 line: why?
Strangely: I have been capturing with a Matrox G400 (field order B) using free VCR and the Pic Video Mjpeg codec, I use free vcr because when it captures to 2gb files there appears to be no lost frames between the segments: and I can't get opendml to work.
I captured three programmes, two from analogue vhs brodacasts and one from sky digital (also off vhs). All captures play fine from the matrox (so they all appear to be in filed order B) but the one that was sourced from sky digital looks like it's in the wrong field order when burned to a DVD!
