DV cam ?

Does anyone know if the Sony DCR-PC7E is a good camera or not , i got a deal for about $650 without the charger or any accesories, i would need to buy them separately. Is that a good deal ? how is the quality of the cam ? is there a way around the fact that it has no DV-IN ?
