Hi,
I would be interested in any feedback regarding the Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ motherboard and the RT X.100 card. I am particularly interested (concerned) about the performance of the onboard Promise ATA RAID controller.
Actually, any feedback or thoughts on the AMD 760MPX chipset, Promise RAID controllers, and the RT X.100 would be appreciated. I am planning to use the card to capture both analog VHS and DV as well as author DVDs.
Here are the specs I am considering:
Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ motherboard
2x512MB Crucial DDR PC2100 (can't decide on ECC or not)
2 AMD Athlon MP 2000 1.67GHZ cpu
Matrox RTX.100
Sony DRU-500ax DVD burner +R/+RW and -R/-RW
80GB WD w/8mb cache 7200rpm hard drive
2x120GB WD w/8mb cache 7200rpm hard drive
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz audio card
430w power supply
