  • Video Scene Detection Tool detected!

    Hello all,
Recently i discovered a very useful clip detection tool named CUTVIEWER.
    The home page is http://www.ergoprocesso.pt/en/nav/index.html

It costs 50$ and there is an evaluation version. In my opinion its much more usable than handy saw. when cutting matrox MJPEG files its important to specify the NO RECOMPRESSION option, otherwise the quality of the resulting clips is terrible.

    Description from ZDNET.COM:
CutViewer is a digital video editing tool that extracts clips and stills from .avi files. Although it's not a full-featured editing tool, for those who want to extract stills or video segments from existing video, it's an excellent choice. As a "first line" editor, it features an easy-to-use three-panel interface (clip stills, a movie player, and editing panel) that makes working with video easy. You can set the threshold to select just the video segments you want. Output is to standard .jpg files; and as a very nice extra touch, CutViewer will also output your selected stills and/or clips as HTML pages, ready for uploading to the Web or an intranet. Note that the movie player is actually the Windows Media Player, and the developer recommends using version 6.01 or later.
