  • Computer DV Out To DVDR DV In?

Recently picked up a GoVideo DVDR box with DV in. A long while back I tried a Philips DVR and wasn't totally happy with it considering the price and returned it. For $150 I can make compromises

I don't recall any difficulity dumping my timeline to the Philips DVR.

With the GoVideo DVR no DV device is found.

If I try to go thru the DV pass thru on my ADVC-100 with it powered on the MSDVCAM device disappears!

System is PIII-800 running W2K (SP1, I believe, I'm loathe to change anything since it does drop free capture and exports, three hours+ no problems!).

    Anyone know the trick?

Recording the S-video output of our Time-Warner HD PVR box yields a great looking DVD at HQ (1Hr) setting and very good at SP (2hr) setting. LP (4hr) is watchable, but clearly degraded.

I did dump a DV tape to DVD+R disk thru the DV input (quality hard to tell from original!), so I know the recorder is not defective, I just can't get the computer to "find" the DVDR device.
