Hi,
I've been reading that some PVR users have been having a capture problems. Specifically, the issue is that playback of PVR MPEG2 captures have screeches and stuters. I think I may have a possible answer.
My PVR setup has been working really well for me (even doing projects with it). The other day, I started doing a lot of experimenting with settings and such. After that, I performed a 12Mb/s capture. When I went to playback the file, it had lots of screeches and stutters.
As this disturbed me greatly, I went through the whole check list of tests typically used for the Marvel G400. Everything was aok, except DMA on the drives was disabled (Win98). As soon as DMA was re-enabled, the screeches/stutters went away.
Well, that's it. Hope it helps someone.
BTW, anyone notice the 'Advanced' tab is enabled in the new 1.4 beta drivers?
