bt878A Fusion vs bt878
Hi,
Given this is a very tech group, I was hoping for some insight in the differences between the bt878 Fusion and bt878 chips. The reason I ask this is that I have both a WinTV-Radio and WinTV-PVR card and noticed some glaring differences. It would settle some questions I have.
The PVR uses the Fusion while the Radio uses the bt878. Both are capable of capturing AVIs. However, I noticed the PVR's AVI captures can go beyond 320x240 with no oddities (and impressive quality). Whenever I capture with the Radio at a higher resolution (640x480, or similar), the image is stretched. When I do my tests, the cards have their own IRQs, etc.
Is the difference in the chipset or in something that I am doing? I did read that the Fusion is ACPI and PC99 compliant, but is that enough to cause such a difference? Also, I am using YUY2 with either Huffyuv or PIC MJPEG.
Any thoughts?
