  • two bird shots...

    Eurasian Curlev

    Red-throated Pipit

    - body used: E-420
    - first one was shot with Zuiko 50-200 / 2.8 - 3.5 in open swamp near Kotka, Finland.
    - second one also with Zuiko 50-200 / 2.8 - 3.5 but this time with EC-14 teleconverter in Kilpisjärvi, Lapland / Finland. (and yes it's the heat waves doing tricks to bokeh.)

"Perhaps they communicate by changing colour? Like those sea creatures .."
    "Lobsters?"
"Really? I didn't know they did that."

yes, really... 27 Celsius degrees! one of the biggest wonders is walk in the 45 cm thick snow and feel how your lower chin burns in sun reflecting from the snow.

you had bad timing and worst possible weather. and besides, you were in sweden / norway area. that shooting place is more than 2 kilometers from norway frontier and over 15 km from sweden frontier.
