How long till we see a Geforce3GO come out? . I bet it will have to have its own battery to run it

As for the benchmarks...I wish someone (Matrox, well anyone) would have a desktop card that would do that to a Geforce3..that would be great!

I'm curious on how the Radeon 7500 mobility does on batteries.
      Primary system specs:
      Asus A7V266-E | AthlonXP 1700+ | Alpha Pal8045T | Radeon 8500 | 256mb Crucial DDR | Maxtor D740X 40gb | Ricoh 8/8/32 | Toshiba 16X DVD | 3Com 905C TX NIC | Hercules Fortissimo II | Antec SX635 | Win2k Pro

        batteries...

This test shows a measurable difference in CPU utilization between these two accelerators. When configured with the GeForce2 Go chip, CPU utilization averaged approximately 34% during this high action video sequence. In contrast, the Mobility Radeon 7500 ran with a CPU utilization of just under 15%. This CPU utilization difference of more than 2x should have a positive impact on battery life during periods of extended DVD playback.
Since both systems ran at the same CPU speed under battery power, the only difference between them was CPU utilization. Though this will provide some advantage, it is only a portion of the total advantage that can be achieved vs. actually reducing CPU clock speed and voltage to their minimum levels. At any rate, the GeForce2 Go platform halted at 125 minutes (2 hours and 5 minutes). The Mobility Radeon 7500 system ran to 145 minutes (2 hours and 25 minutes). Considering that Matrix runs for 2 hours and 16 minutes, the difference was just enough to finish the movie on the ATI platform.

Wow. And I'm stuck with an S3 Savage/IX on my laptop. IBM really needs to update it's graphics in it's notebooks.

My PIII notebook and it's ATI Mobility "chip" is fraught with conflicts and display problems. After hours of tech support Dell's final solution was for me to get a docking station with a G-400!

                Athlon 1.4 GHz, Iwill KK266, 512mb pc-133, Millennium G400 32MB DH, RainbowRunner-G, WD 20gig 7200rpm, Imation IMW040420 CD-RW, .357 Smith & Wesson
