Hi there
I really appreciate someones help...I recently installed XP Office and installed Word 8.0.
When I first ran the Word I got an error message saying that "macros were disabled" and that I should change the macro options to enable macros. I thought I did this by entering the options section, and changed the macro level of security to low...but now whenever I run Word I get this message:
"MICROSOFT VISUAL BASIC: compile error in hidden module: AUTOEXEC"
I went back to my office xp install program and checked to make sure that Visual Basic (VBA) was installed and it showed that it was...I even tried reinstalling it a couple of times. But I still get the same visual basic error message. I figure it has something to do with the ways macros are handled in the office xp environment, but something seems wrong...is there an option or tool I can enable in office/word to fix this annoying message everytime?
really thanks a lot to any help
