    Ahead NERO 5.5.6.4 for most CD-R/RW purposes, including MP3 and audioCD's.

    Ulead's DVD MovidFactory for most simple VCD/SVCD/DVD.

    I also use SmartDisks DVDMotion (does VCD/SVCD/DVD);

    and Sonic's DVDiT!

    Roxio/Adaptec is no longer on any of my systems.

      Occasionally I will have CDs hang in mid burn or just fail, but that could be my old system
      Sadly no, it is in fact EZ CD Destroyer that causes hangs and failed burns.

        If you have WinXP, Roxio technology is built in.

        Oh, if anyone was wondering what the Sony/Prassi s/w looks like:

          This is what I use

          - Feurio for audio CDs
          - WinOnCD for the rest (I think I still use version 3.6)

            Nero here too - used to use Easy CD many years ago (when there wasn't a lot of choice), and more recently I've tried Roxio's latest attempt, but found this to have trouble actually loading (on three different machines) and just generally instable and good at writing a whole CD full of ...erm... nothing? I'd love to know how it does that!

            I also use Fireburner to write images that nero doesn't support. (or use the tool which converts these images to nero files)

              Roxio may be built into XP, but as I've noted here many times XP is only used for betatesting in my lab. I don't burn CD's etc. in XP unless its a feature of what I'm testing or its bundled software.

              I certainly don't burn my personal projects or anything made for anyone else using XP.

                  I use Easy CD Creator 5.0 Platinum, but then again, I don´t burn very often.

                  I damage around 5% of my blank CDs... I don´t know if it´s the recorder´s fault, the crap CDs that I buy, my aging system´s fault or EZ CD Destroyer´s, but I´m relatively happy about it.

                    Mainly use NERO for general CD work. Roxio 3.8 for really nice photo albulms that play in my DVD. Now trying Ulead DVD Movie Factory for video work.
