Start menu corruption (602Suite vs. Matrox)

Use 602Suite regulary for a few weeks and you get screen corruption
in the start menu -- jagged horizontal lines. (see screenshot)

Possible culprits:
Unusual graphics routines used by 602Suite, Matrox drivers, XP GUI

602Pro PC SUITE Build 2001.0.02.0108
Windows XP Professional, MGA-G200 B8
Matrox driver package: 5.84.023

This happened twice in two months. Hard to reproduce.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone with similar problems.
